Hey all,

First off, I would like to say that the actual RB gameplay on my Wii has no lag issues - even when playing songs with others over the internet...

However, I seem to notice that the menus (now that the wii connects to the 'RB internet' auctomatically) are choppy when selecting through quickplay, band play, etc and even difficulty level....

Is that because of background caching over the net? Loading?

My wii is also starting to make that grinding noise (which some say is normal). I plan on using canned air to rule-out this cause....

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Matt!

I always assumed that was the reason - also is the likely casue for the occasional lag/freezeups Wii users might see in game on GH5 (which also connects to WFC right when you boot up the game - there is no "local" option). It's not a game killer, just a very occasional hiccup.

As to "grinding noises" - do you mean noise from the disc drive? Some is normal & will vary depending on how much data is being read off the disc at the moment. But if it gets louder, you might want to contact Nintendo & get an RMA & get it fixed.

Can say from personal experience that NIntendo service is very solid. Most Wiis get returned within a week for US repairs, and in virtually every case, all your save data is restored to the repaired/replaced Wii (as is ALL WiiShop account data - your DLC is safe).
