View Full Version : OH COME ON! (14 days waiting for guitar)

I've been waiting for my guitar to be delivered to the EA warehouse now for 14 days. I mailed it out on the 10th and it's been on the truck "OUT FOR DELVIERY" now since the 11th. What's worse is that the warehouse where it's going to and the UPS hub where the truck picked it up is only about 20 miles apart, not a great distance! If I had known it'd take this long I'd have freaking driven it there myself!

I understand that it's not EA's fault the UPS guy hasn't delivered it but still, I didn't have enough money left over to get the express so I had to go with normal. They sent the package to me by UPS 2nd day and the return method was UPS ground which is killing me right now. I wanted to have this game available for xmas, now I'm hoping to have the guitar by new year's but still same old drum and mic sitting there. My friends and I all agree that the game's not much fun without the guitar to complement the other two.

What I want to know is should I be concerned? Should I call UPS and complain that I've been waiting for a package to be delivered that's been sitting on a truck for 2 weeks now? A lot of people seem to be having faster turnaround time than I am. Now its starting to bother me a lot.

So my question to you is:

What on earth did you hope to accomplish by posting that tirade here?

This certainly appears to be a UPS issue, and has nothing to do with EA or HMX. I'm pretty sure UPS doesn't read this forum, so why don't you, oh I don't know...

Pick up the phone and give UPS a call??

Why have you waited 14 days before doing something about it? When a package is "Out for Delivery", it should be delivered THAT day, maybe the next if there's nobody there to sign for it the 1st day. You should've been on the phone with UPS on the 12th wondering why it hadn't been delivered yet. Now it's been another 2 weeks and you're sitting at your computer *****ing and moaning about it, and you expect sympathy from us?

I was asking if I should be concerned and also voicing a complaint about the return method. I'm so happy that there are plenty of self-righetous know it all condescending jerks like you on here to help.

I would definitely recommend contacting UPS to inquire about the package; at the very least they can follow up and ensure the box is accounted for. Please reply back and let me know what they find. If there are issues with UPS' deliveries I would like to be sure to report those.

I talked with a represenative and they're having difficulty locating the package, they opened an investigation and said would contact the delivery facility where it was supposed to be delivered, they asked me questions about the value of the package and the RMA information for it. They said if you needed to contact them to have the tracking number for it ready, which can be found on the support page under incident number 071215-009813 (if that helps)

Thanks again for taking the time to address my concerns.
