So I purchased an extra bundle on launch day to give to a friend for christmas. i think it's almost a sure bet that some part of his bundle will experience issues. half of his 60-day warranty is gone since i bought it over a month ago. i know even with the express warranty replacement method the whole process takes over two weeks since the RMA doesnt close until EA receives the faulty equipment back.
Now people still have issues with the replacements (or in some cases receive empty boxes, which i read was a system glitch that should now be resolved)...but anyway so say you finally get your replacement at the 60-day cut off, but you find out it's no good. or two weeks later it breaks again. How will this situation be handled since technically it's now past 60 days?
I personally feel the warranty should be extended to a year, but if not at least another 60 days. I dont expect to hear an answer to that so that's why I brought up the above scenario because it is a legitimate concern for those who received rock band for christmas.

From what I've seen they're liberally interpreting the 60 day warranty so far, and I've never been questioned about when I purchased the product when I've called about a warranty.

well my assumption for that is because there's no way anyone's warranty could be up since the game was released less than 60 days ago. once were past the 60-day mark from release, then what?
there already is a thread about opinions that the warranty should be one year, but im wondering what EA's intentions are for handling faulty equipment which was sent as a replacement at or after the 60 day mark. i posted this since it seemed Violet was posting a lot today and so I hoped we could get a response here. Doesnt look like it's going to be addressed though. Ive seen other threads before and after this thread which have been replied to.

I have previously escalated feedback concerning the warranty length since it is a common topic here. I do not know at this time how the warranty program will change once people start getting past that 60-day mark, but I will let you know what I find out.
In the meantime, don't wait until the last minute if you need a replacement. Take the 60-day limit to heart and make sure you are getting proper replacements within that time frame.
If you have any questions or concerns about the time limit, please send me a PM so I can be sure to answer your questions and report the feedback concerning this.

Thanks for the reply. I see youre still actively trying to respond to as much inquiries as possible. My thread fell to the bottom yesterday so I did a friendly bump.
I wasnt expecting a clear answer, but I'm happy to know that you as an EA representative are aware of the concerns and will have our backs if it becomes an issue. I guess we'll see what happens then!
