Drumset + 360 Wireless Headset

Alright, so either my drum headset "adapter" (crappy wire) or my drums (just replaced!) have a fault that prevents me from using my wired 360 headset, just annoying static and echoes. What I would like it know, is if I use the wireless 360 headset, does it connect to the console, so I could skip going through any hardware to chat?

*EDIT* I read the question wrong. Yes, the wireless headset goes directly through the console, and allows you to chat with others.

I'm not concerned with vocals, since I just plug my wired headset into my wireless 360 controller, and all is well. The drums just don't want to let me chat online. Anyway, thanks for the info, the wireless headset looks like what I need if I want to yell "JESUS CHRIST NOT METALLICA AGAIN I CAN DRUM THAT SONG BUT SERIOUSLY" and have people hear me online. :P

I got the wireless headset for christmas, and it works splendid with the drums, since that annoying cord is gone now that always got me tangled while playing haha

How are you guys getting this to work? When I have my drums on, my headset synchs as player 2, instead of player 1, which is what the drums are on. I figured it must not work, but then come in here to search on it and see you saying it works great.

Edit - You know what it might be? THe fact that I have the adapter plugged into the drum, even though the mic isn't hooked up. I bet it senses that adapter there and counts that as having a headset plugged in.
