Battery Cover Screw

I just got my new Guitar Today. Well.

The screw that is supposed to hold it closed, wont stay screwed in. And there is like a piece rattling around inside.

I am thinking the piece that the screw... screws into. Somehow fell off so now it wont screw shut.... and there is a annoying rattling sound.

I can send the guitar back for this problem hopefully. I just wanted to see if this is the problem I think it is... or if someone knows a solution.

Did you put the batteries in? If so, did you overtighten the tiny screw and strip the threads? Mine had a little plastic looking washer under the cover. That might be what's rattling, but it's so small it shouldn't rattle too much.

Solved it myself. Took it apart. And the washer that the Screw Tightens into was rattling around inside... the plastic had melted somehow and it fell out of the spot it should be in.
