Sorry if there is already a thread on this. If there is, please close it immediately. But, what do you guys think a good price estimate would be for the entire Rock Band Bundle?
From what I've heard, here's what I've gathered: XBox Magazine said Harmonix leaked the price of 200 and that's official, On the Gamespot E3 '07 interview, they said around 700 or 800. All over internet shopping sites, they have 200. Such as Gamestop.com
A realistic price for me would be around 250 or 300. But the popular price seems to be 200, which is perfectly fine for me.
But back to my question, what do you guys think would be a reasonable price?

The 700-800 price thing was a complete joke.
So far, I'd say the GameStop prices are pretty accurate:
$199.99 for a bundle with the game, 1 guitar, drumset and mic
$59.99-79.99 for a guitar
$79.99 for a drumset
$19.99 for a mic

I think honestly for all that you get, in what we think is the "complete bundle". Being the game, guitar, microphone, and drumset.... plus the game itself. That $199.99 is a great deal for what your getting, plus coming from HMX u know its gonna be quality stuff.
The drumset alone is truly amazing if its $79.99, if u compare that to basic electric drumsets that are a couple thousand dollars. I know its not the same thing but for ALOT less money i think u get twice as much fun, plus u still learn the basics of drumming.
Oh Yea i forgot, apparentlty they throw in drum sticks too !!! :D

Yeah for 200 you're baiscally getting all the peripherals and the game free. Or for 20 but free just sounds better.

I'd pay $200, but I wouldn't be suprised if the actual price of the bundle was anywhere from $150-$250. Anything outside of that range I don't think is realistic.

I'm curious how they're going to work their packaging. Is every peripheral going to be packaged with the game? Or can you buy them seperately? Maybe only the guitar has the game and the other ones are seperate? Or is the game going to be completely separate from all the instruments?

I could only think of one way if they are making an entire bundle. Make one gigantic box, but make the drums "Some assembly required". I'm sure that Harmonix will send their own custom humongous bag to Game stop and Best Buy to hold the game in.

Not Really The Guitar is Almost the same size as The past GH guitars and Drum set is a Bigger than The guitar ( of Course ) so am Expecting a GH Box but Twice its Size that Should not be That BIG ( I Hope )

If you go to EB Games, you can see the Rock Band bundle price: EBGames (http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product_id=200345&affID=88888&sourceID=%2Fh9F95WAJ7w-Pe38xa0eCpgs%2FNuXVsyzug)
Of course, this could be just an estimate.

Well, thats what I was saying in my first post, almost every online video game store has a set price of 200 dollars, yet EA and Harmonix still say they haven't decided on a price.

Theres no way the drums and guitar could be $79.99. That's waaaay too much.

Does anyone know what the price is going to be in the UK I have found pre-orders being taken in the US & AU working out around $199.99 US for the full bundle (which is £120 est) but are we going to get a higher price tag (as we normally do) & if so how much more will we have to pay?:D
I WOULD PAY MORE OR LESS ANYTHING TO GET THIS GAME ANYWAY

I would trust it as I have my receipt here from where I have pre ordered the game and I was told $200.00. I think that is an awesome price as Harmonix will make more money off of me as I will be buying a second guitar. Although I own all of the GH games and several guitars, Harmonix has stated that there will be features that will work only with the Rock Band's Fender.

Yeah, some of the main features include the effect switcher. It's basically on all Fender strats, it just adds some effects to the guitar at some parts, such as Wah and different distortions. Another feature is the solo buttons. Where in a solo, or just whenever you want, there are buttons near the base of the guitar where you dont have to strum. But you probably know all of this already.

Same here. I just pre-ordered mine yesterday and was told $200. The guy behind the counter said it pretty firmly and when I checked out the receipt there was no "price subject to change" on there anywhere. That doesn't mean it can't change, but that would also mean that they didn't list the price correctly and would mean that anyone that pre-ordered would pay the listed price, being $200.00.

UK price... I bet will be about £200, we always get screwed over price wise as it is, so you can bet we will here (the hike will be "tax" of course...)
But even if it IS £200... I'll be paying a damned site more for the sodding thing 'cause I have a PS2 and a Wii (Why can't you release the sodding thing on the Wii? WHY!?)
As such, I'll be paying mebber £200 for the game, I'll be wanting the 2nd guitar too, then I will need to buy a 360 for it (I'm not buying a PS3, and that's final!), also have to change my ISP because I'm on AOL, which doesn't like connecting other stuff to the net through it's connection (I'm unable to download Wii stuff too at the moment... need to get that dealt with).
So I see a huge bill for it coming my way, and a 360 bought solely for this game and for sticking some movies on to watch on my TV. At least I'll be able to get GH2 and get the d/l content for it on the 360 too tho' :D

I was told the same thing when I pre-ordered mine. I also asked the cashier if they were going to do solo bundles ( game and drum set only, etc...) and he seemed very certain that they aren't. So buying the whole entire thing seems best... Even though I pre-ordered the game only, I'm thinking of changing my mind and getting the whole thing. But ugh... $200 is a lot of money.

I don't know about them not doing a game plus an instrument. They've said many times that you don't have to have all of the instruments to play, meaning they are definitely doing something other than just the bundle. The only other way I see something like that is if they release the instruments completely separate and you'd have to buy the game and a single instrument. That would cost way too much to do though.
I'm almost certain they'll do something like that.

At a guess... it'll all be available seperately, however there will be special deals where you can buy it as a package deal.
I wouldn't be shocked if some shops only sold the game, and the extras you had to buy from Harmonix direct (I say that 'cause the video game stores in my town aren't really big enough to stock a huge bundle, nor are they big enough to store 'em seperately... so either they'll be packed to the eyeballs with 'em, or I'll be needing to reserve one of only a handful of copies that come in, that or I'm having to order stuff from Harmonix directly, which I really hope not as I'll be trading stuff in to get this game, lol)
