After playing hyperspeed on GHII anything else feels slow and drawn out. Just weird.

Now am I the only one begging for more hyperspeed in Rock Band?

I'll be pissed if hyperspeed IS in the game. I just think the arguments of "is it cheating" are lame and because of it just leave it out. Play the game as it should be played. Just one man's opinion.

Sure. Actually if I can be in multiple bands totally. I'll do it!

See the good thing about no one volunteering for bass is bassist will be in high demand. \m/

I would have no issues being a bassist.........but i would never stick to one band just to play bass. if i can go play in other bands to do other things then i'd be all for it.

Total BS, leave it out.

It's a new game series, get used to playing it without cheats like everyone else. You shouldn't rely on it for beating the game.

That's why I said if I can play multiple bands. Otherwise I will stick with Emo_Reaper and Eman but I highly doubt you can only play with one band.

I didn't even know of it until months after I beat the game. I didn't rely on it. I just like the speed.

Why am I getting slammed for a faster mode? Geez. Such presumptious people. Let's consider the fact that I just want a faster mode not to cheat. Chill.

You know what would be super, super awesome? Letting the user decide how fast to make it scroll. I seriously have a lot of trouble reading packed-together notes, and sometimes I found hyperspeed too slow in GH II. Hell, I used to play stepmania songs (DDR with a keyboard) at between 450 and 600 bpm.

Edit: I mean, I tried to get the base BPM to between 450 and 600 by the use of speed multipliers

pretty much im saying have one consistent scroll speed for each difficulty. if they want to make a new difficulty called "hyperspeed" then they can go for it.

That's what I want. After beating Expert unlock Hyperspeed.

But then would hyperspeed be considered a step up from expert? technically not, because the notes are the same just not the speed.

The speed of the notes was the same.. Just more space between them due to a faster scroll... But tempo was unaffected. If you took away the fret board altogether it and only left the notes, is identical. Dunno why so many people went on about it.

But if Hyperspeed became a legit mode the notes would quicken or so one would think right? Eliminating everyone's whining.

A DDR/Beatmania style speed selector that goes from 0.5x-4x in 1/2 step increments would be ideal, especially if you could pick it when you select the difficulty or song or something.

A lot of people find it to be cheating when using it because it makes the notes more spaced. But it's also a bit more a challenge. It's a challenge because now you cant see as many notes and you have to constantly be concentrating on what could be coming next. So really, it all balances out. I personally like Hyper Speed, it just adds something new to the game.

I Like it because it spaces out all those solos and the 16th notes so i SEE what im going to have to nail...
anyone who says its cheating is totally untrue.

Really, IMHO it would be valuable to have this as a user-selectable option in the settings, similar to lefty flip or anything else.

The only reason people view Hyperspeed as a cheat is because you enter it in as you would a cheat. If there were options for how you wanted the note spacing to be in gameplay settings, there wouldn't be any debate about cheating since it would be built in as part of the game.

Personally, I don't like Hyperspeed. I don't have any trouble with the normal speed, and not being able to see as far ahead throws me off. That said, I'm not offended in the least by other people using it if they prefer.

I don't really care if it's in Rock Band or not, but if it is, it would be best to put it in the options somewhere to resolve the whole cheating nonsense.

I agree, Hyperspeed is welcome, wanted and is not cheating. I personally do not do as well with hyperspeed on as I can't see as many notes at once and much less reaction time so I tend to miss some of the quick changes.

I do however use hyperspeed as a way to desensitize myself to the speed on expert so it makes it a bit easier when switching back. As I am still struggling to get through expert this is a great thing for me and all part of building my skills.

I don't see it as a cheat at all but instead the exact opposite: a learning tool. Oh and flaming head makes me feel good while playing so that has to be in there as well. :)

I never played DDR with changes to the scroll speed, and I never did hyperspeed on Guitar Hero, so I don't care if it's in Rock Band or not.

But I did always see it as a sort of cheat in things like tournaments and stuff. Gotta keep as much constant as possible for those things.

 I've 5 starred almost everything expert without hyperspeed. I've never used hyperspeed. If I can do it, why can't everyone else? Seems like a copout to use it to me.

It's great when everyone gets all upset but never look far enough in the thread to come up with an enraged post that matters.

So I won't fight back. Ignorance is blind.

This doesn't make any sense... why does everyone think it's cheating? From what people are saying, putting on hyperspeed is the same as making the scroll speed in ddr 2x. It's not like putting on hyperspeed makes the notes easier on your fingers, it just makes it easier to see exactly what the notes are. The difficulty of the game shouldn't come from trying to figure out what a cluster of notes are; the skill should be in actually playing them. That's why they put in practice mode; so you can slow the song down to figure out exactly how to play the notes. If some people find it easier to make the scroll speed twice as fast, I see no reason why they shouldn't play like that.

I don't use Hyperspeed, mainly 'cause I only have Guitar Hero 1...but some of my friends have GH2, and when we play, they insist on using it. I'm not used to it, so when we're playing it together, it screws me up.

I'd like Hyperspeed to be an option for each individual player. Like if you've got two people playing, one person can have Hyperspeed on, while the other can choose to leave it off.
