Make sure you've got a chair where your leg sits at a 90 degree angle, and then put your drums at whatever height your hands are comfortable swinging at... it should feel comfortable at the right spot.

i would like to know the other way of sitting with the drums. i think they said it was the countertop way. how does that work?.

but for your question coolaunt, it all depends on how you feel comfortable sitting with the drums. adjust the pads to the right height and see what feels the best, it reall does make a big difference

... for the countertop just take the legs out of the feet on the drum set and out of the top of it and put the top in the feet.

Oh, and don't slouch when you're playing the drums... it'll come back to haunt you.
