View Full Version : Holy ****, my vocalist just...

...dived into the audience at the end of Main Offender! :D

I was crooning to that often-heard Main Offender on Easy (I admit it) and
at the end of the song my vocalist jumped into the audience! Now THAT is what separates Rockband from GH. It's just the realism.

However, my moment of disbelief was shattered when a few seconds later it cut to a shot of the stage and showed my vocalist back on-stage with the rest of the band.

Still, these types of moments just make the experience feel that much more real.
I also remember my guitarist (when I was playing as guitar) throw the guitar down at the end of the song and do an elbow drop. Sweetness.

I love how the audience sings along with the band when you are doing well. :D

The reason for being back on stage is that the whole design is that everything is supposed to look like a concert video, so you will see some unusual splices, but that is intentional. At least that is the information I have read here in the forums.

Likewise. This is probably my favorite thing about Rock Band. It's such an immersive experience, one that you won't get playing any other game.

Lol my dad was playing with me on "Long Time" on the drums. He failed on Easy and the drummer stood up and did a kind of "What? What!?" motion and threw the sticks angrily.

Totally. Feels like a concert, even in a small venue. And the camera shots are great.

I think this is even cooler; some crowd dude jumped on the staged, then jumped onto the crowd himself : ). I only saw this once, these small parts are so awesome.

It's because of the mo-cap they had this time around.
It's much more better.

I like it when the vocalist sings to the band members. Oh, and the guitar solo sweep thing is cool. I was all grins. XD

i like when during big rock endings my guitarist proceeds to grab the neck of the guitar and smash it against the ground then drops it and starts jumping on it

If you get five gold stars on Dead On Arrival on expert vocals the singer does a line of cocaine off the neck of the lead guitar, sacrifices a goat, and has a sword fight to the death with a Roman foot soldier. But no one's ever got that so...

The singer did that for me when I was playing "Learn To Fly" (and an cool coincidence, Dave Grohl actually stage dives at the same time that the lead singer in the game did, in the actual music video for the song).

By far the coolest thing for me though, is at the end of the music video (live footage) for "Won't Get Fooled Again", when Roger Daltrey screams "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH", Pete Townshend slides on his knees hitting an awesome chord, and the camera stays on him in slow motion as he slides closer to the camera... The same thing happens in Rock Band! I nearly stopped playing when I saw that and stood in awe... Now THAT is awesome!

I like it when my male guitarist joins my female vocalist in a song. It's cool.

My real favorite is the unison slow motion jump.

I like when the avatars are really rockin' and either the guitarist or bassist just leans in and belts out a line of the song with the vocalist. What's amazing is if your bassist is female and the lean happens during the third verse of gimme shelter. Crazy awesome.

They need to put more of this stuff in downloadable packs. Can't wait to see what other stunts HMX can come up with.

yeah, there's a certain image i see every once in a while that looks exactly like some concert footage of Radiohead that i've seen (view from rear audience, dark, stage lit up but foggy/misty, gives me goosebumps everytime i see it, in a good way. i'm so very glad i invested $ in this instead of the 'cheaper' (in all grades) GH3

Oh hell yeah, I want to see more of these stunts in DLC packs.

I also saw the guitarist slide into a solo. Sweet stuff.

I love Rockband and Harmonix SO much.
