U2: honestly i cannot understand how such a horrible band could ever be as popular as they are. bono is the only decent artist in this band. the rest of them are horrible musicians that are fueled by edgy, hip imaging.

angels and airwaves: ive never heard them and i have no intentions to sooo... i dont want them in the game.

blink 182: i actually USED to like this band. but that was back when every article of clothing i owned was black, i thought that finger nail polish and eye liner was cool, and i was only 12. this band has a very immature and shallow sound, simplistic riffs, and their lyrics are about as entertaining as a crying little girl (and sounds about like that too). im so happy i "out grew" this band years ago.

+44: another band that i never heard and have no intentions of.

I gave it a listen. It sounds like a better version of the music that is popular. I like the instrumentals, and the beats, but I dislike the singing. Much better than blink, which proves these bands could be good, but would rather make shallow moneymaking music.

EDIT: THe singing gets better later on in the song. Not amazing singing, but pretty good.

I wouldn't like u2 simply for the fact that there are many many Post punk and New Wave bands better that they could include.

yep i gess its just my taste in music.
but i still hate that guys voice and the music just isnt what i like. if you cant mosh to it then i most likely dont like it, im not that big on slow bands like that (yeah thats slow to me).
buti m not saying that i dont enjoy a nice slow jam song.

oh and i just remembered sumtin, if the song "Inhale" by stone sour was in the game id offer my body to who ever was in charge of the game for their sexual pleasures.

It rocks. But in a different way. Weezer's "Say it ain't so" isn't really the most rockful (is this a real word?) song either, but there is more to rock than the typical classic rock or Metal.

I just don't want to play classic rock ONLY. I want something outstanding, something different. Angels & Airwaves are just awesome. Of course the game Rockband should have songs that rock HARD, but there are also songs that rock BEAUTIFUL. With a lovely, catchy melody and a different sound. Besides, the drumming of Atom Willard is just awesome!

"Start the machine" may not be the hardest rocksong, but it's a great song. I'd love to play it. Ava has other songs too btw, some of them rock "harder" than Start the Machine. (Like The War - which I don't like that much though)

AvA makes great music. That's what I think and will always say. I hope that at least one song by them is in the game (or a DLC), and I think a lot of us would like it and a lot of us may not like it. But it's not gonna kill anyone. :rolleyes:

I want blink 182 in the game, but if angels and airwaves are in the game then..........yah! i like both bands equally so if one is out (fine:) ) if both are out (booooooooooo:mad: ) if both are in (thats what i'm talking about):D

Yeah, know what, I think it will probably be easier to get AvA in the game than blink, since Tom and Mark aren't talking with eatch other anymore. But... who knows.

U2 are a good band, they're not one of the greatest to ever play, but some of their songs are amazing (Elevation & Beautiful Day, to name two), and they could (and should) be in the game at some point.

A&A (I wont call them AvA... v does not equate to an &)... to be quite blunt, are not the sort of rock that is worth putting in over other bands that play soft sappy rock much much better. However I will agree, they're more mature than Blink 182... however, so is our dog.

I know that a v is not a &, but AvA is still the official short version of Angels & Airwaves. The logo says AvA too. I can also tell you how that came. Tom was thinking about a logo for the band and though of three A's (AngelsAndAirwaves) and turned the middle A around. Then he noticed that it looks like a V now and that would mean AvA. And, whow, Ava is also the name of Tom's daugther. So he thought he wanted the short version and the logo to say AvA. (It still is an A but he says AvA and it looks like a V... well, whatever)

You not liking them doesn't make them horrible. When they started making music back in the 70s what was their edgy hip imaging? For the rest, read below.

Don't be a moron. U2 write the songs, compose them and record them. They have various producers involved, like Brian Eno. They are NOT puppets for the record label. They started out with a label called "Island Records" because they didn't stand a chance in hell to get picked up by any of the big ones. Today, still at Island, they are the reason that Island Record exists. Record companies might be good at hyping bands that dont deserve it, but with U2, it's the oposite. Island would be nothing (if at all) without U2.

None of them could. They were highschool kids. 30 years later and they've gotten quite good at playing their instruments ;)



Seriously, I don't care if people don't like U2. There's lots of music I dislike that others like But! The deal with bands like U2 and artists like Madonna is that you must give them credit for beeing in the business for 30 years. Not only are they still here, and without a hazardous drug habit, they keep making great new music for the youths of the current time. Keeping up to date and fresh is incredibly hard and hardly any bands can do it.

How many bands from the 70s can you name that i still going today, still selling records in the millions, still selling out every seat in every venue before the tour even starts, and keep making fresh music?

Most new bands that you listen to today will be forgotten in 5 years. U2 is still here and it's a shame that none of the previous Guitar Hero games featured songs by them. I hope for Rock Band to include one. Preferably "Bullet The Blue Sky", but any song will do.
