Anyone getting it? Truthfully, I'm still on the fence, leaning towards no. From what I've read of the plot it doesn't sound too interesting, and I'm not a big Level 5 fan. The last game of theirs I liked was the original Dark Cloud. The gameplay does seem kind of interesting, the pseudo MMO elements remind me of FFXII. However, that just isn't enough to convince me I need to add it to my collection, considering all the other games I'm already going to pick up and games that I already have that I still need to play.

What's do you all think? Perhaps once I hear some more opinions on the game I can be persuaded to give the game a shot :p

I played it briefly at Gamescom, and wasn't too impressed. Too MMO-y for my tastes.

I've been pumped for this nearly 2 years now. I'm absolutely getting it. I've been impressed by everything I've seen and the mmo aspect doesn't bother me in the least.

Yeah the MMO gameplay is both a plus and minus for me. I like MMO gameplay but if I want that sort of gameplay, I'd rather just play an actual MMO. Part of what makes the grind easier on true MMOs is the communication aspect, which is absent in singe player MMO-esque games.

The other thing that bothers me about the gameplay is the fact you can only choose specific abilities for combat. I really hate that in games. If I spend time getting an ability (whether through buying it or unlocking it doing something in the game) I want to be able to use it whenever I bloody want to. I know only being able to set a specific number abilities before you go into battle adds to the whole tactical feel but dammit, if I pay for something I want to be able to use it whenever the hell I want to. That was one of my biggest pet peeves about Guild Wars, you could only use a fraction of all the abilities you knew at any given time.

I was pumped for this almost two years ago. With FF XIII and Mass Effect 2 right around the corner, I am no longer giving this title any of my attention.

I'll most likely get it when it goes on sale and/or comes down in price. But it's not a release-day, pay-full-price game for me.
