View Full Version : Difficulty Breakdown? Not all parts are created equally...

Having played GHII co-op I know that some songs, like Misirlou and Message in a Bottle have significantly easier Bass parts than Lead on equivilant difficulty settings, while the Rhythym parts on songs like Strutter and Jessica are a little more difficult than the lead.

So I'm wondering if this game will have a breakdown of the difficulties for all four parts of each song. For example, if there's a 1-8 difficulty similar to the tiers of the Guitar Hero games, a song would show numbers or a gauge or something to indicate the relative difficulty of each part like so:

Lead - 6
Bass - 4
Vocals - 3
Drums - 6

I know there are difficulty settings, but if everyone wants to play on beginner if they're new, or expert for a challenge, it would be nice to know if you're going to be giving the drummer a particularly hard time, or going easy on the singer, etc.

Is there any info on how this will work? It seems like an across-the-board tiered system would be impossible with four parts to play, so will there be any info on a song/part's relative difficulty?

If they don't do that, they should at least have a uniquely organized setlist for each individual instrument's campaign (i.e. the order of difficulty in songs for the guitar campaign is different than the order of difficulty in songs for the vocals campaign).
