I keep getting random misses on the pads during songs like Run to The Hills, when I know I am playing in the correct time. I read some posts and went into practice mode to see if the pads would pick up fast rolls and such. They seemed to pick up all of the notes there, but while playing them in the songs, I get random misses. It really pisses me off because I know Im not at fault. Anyone have similar problems?

are you sure you're getting a miss on the pad and not, for instance, hitting the pedal at the wrong time, or hitting *too many* notes on the pad? Both of those will give you a miss and break your combo.

Story of my rock band drummer life right there....

Im an experienced drummer (marching quads, jazz band, youth wind symphony) so I know how to keep a beat. And while playing the fast hi hat/snare parts, I get random misses in places I know I shouldn't of.

well, if it picks up the same patterns in free practice, I don't know what to tell you. I can't see any way that would happen. Never happened to me.

Your sound system or display may be introducing a lag. For you it is more likely the sound system since you actually play drums and most likely play to the music more then to the patterns on screen. Go into your options and make the proper adjustments. I did that and now the notes are right on with the music.

I was having the exact same issues. I was seeing obvious intermittent missed hits about 5% of the time.
First make sure you calibrate.
If you're still having issues, like i was, pop off the head of one of the drums. If you see a sensor screwed into the bottom side of the head, take a small phillips head screw driver and loosen both screws about a quarter or half a turn (if the sensor isn't on the bottom side of the head, you have a different drum version than I). Pop the head back on, fire up the game and try it out.
You may notice a slight rattling noise when you hit the drum...this should be okay. If you are still seeing missed hits, try loosening each screw a little more. The key is to find the sweet spot...if you loosen it too much, it'll register double hits, so you'll need to tighten it more.
I did this with each of my 4 pads and i'm able to obtain long 4x streaks. Prior to doing this, i would be lucky to keep a 4x streak for more than a few seconds.
If all else fails...RMA.
Good luck.

how does one "pop off the head of one of the drums"??? Just rip it off? or twist it while lifting with upward force?
I'm just wondering since I've always avoided messing with the pads' technical setups after accidentally severing the wiring to the yellow pad of my first kit after having similar "hit registration" issues like the other posters in this thread...

If you look underneath the red or green drum pads, you'll see 4 holes with cone-shaped plugs in them. Those plugs are connected to the head. If you just pull up on the head with a little force, it will pop out. Pull up on each of the four. Becarefull because there is, indeed, a wire connected to the head. You probably have about 5 inches of slack so just be sure not to yank the pad across the room.
