Just got RB2 for Wii. Red fret buttom + strum does not work. Strangely, the system detects when I press red by itself (i.e., it lights up on screen and I can also use it fine in the menus as "back"). Strum works with all of the other fret buttons. Even more strange, if red is part of a chord (like red + green), strum works fine. It is only red + strum that doesn't work. I have tested numerous times when no guitar music is going: all of the other fret + strum you hear the clicking sound and the energy meter goes down, but red + strum only does it every 4th or 5th time. HELP!!
Thanks,
Joe

I just got a new wii and rockband 2 set also and my wireless guitar works fine except for the top red fret. All the other frets work and even the red one below works, but the top one does not detect at all. This freakin sucks. This is the 2nd guitar I got from EA. What the F(*&* is wrong with this thing?

Similar problem here. When I first got RB2, I wasn't sure but it seemed like there was a problem with the top red fret button. I seemed to miss the red notes most often. I noticed that even though I would press the red button down, sometimes it would not light on the screen.

Now I have an issue with red + yellow chords not responding. If I hold down each color and strum continuously, everything seems to be fine. If I hold down any chord other than red + yellow, and strum continuously, everything seems to be fine. But when I hold down red + yellow and strum continuously, it only picks up every fourth or fifth strum.

I am already past my 60 day warranty period. Does anyone know any other course of action that I can take? Does anyone know of any repair instructions/tutorials online? Any suggestions at all? I figure if there is no warranty then my only option is to replace the guitar. If I'm going that route, I might as well open it up and see what damage I can do.
