Hi,

I'm trying to sing with NO BACKGROUND vocals. In the options, under audio options, I've set it so that the background audio is all the way down, and the "sample" of the setting takes out the vocals. But in the game, the game's "singer" is still there. Am I doing something wrong in the settings or is it not possible to take that out?

Thanks

If you're talking about completely eliminating the singing of the original vocalist, then the way you do it (at least on the PS3) is to simply press and hold the circle button during game play. A meter will come up that says "Vocal Track" and you can adjust that with the d-pad to turn it all the way down. Similarly, you can also just pause the game during game play and access a menu with the same option, as well as microphone sensitivity, and microphone volume.

I imagine for the Xbox 360 the same functions are similarly mapped to the face buttons on the 360 controller.

Please consult the manual that comes with your copy of Rock Band. You can use three buttons on the controller to adjust the microphone sensitivity, microphone volume, and vocal track volume during play.
