When I first got Rock Band everything seemed to be working fine but then I noticed that sometimes the red pad would register three hits for one hit and sometimes not register at all. It got worse over a few days until it simply wouldn't register at all. I filed the warranty exchange and went for the express method. I guess Christmas got things backed up and it took over a week for my pads to arrive. Today they arrived and I was happy to be playing again but then I heard a crack while playing and my foot hit the floor. The pedal had snapped off at the bottom. So now the pedal is lifted off the base in the back. I could play it by holding it down with my heal but I am not going to keep doing that.
So... I have the old pads in the box ready to go back and already I am about to file another warranty exchange. Rock Band is a fantastic game but the quality of the peripherals leaves something to be desired.
