help with some confusion

Hello everyone, I can just say that i love this game, it kicks. anyways i am sort of confused and irriated cause i cant figure this out. let me explain, My lil bro and i started a band on here, I started as the drummer (gamertag-mrphatso, name on rockband-Drew) my lil bro is on the first guitar his profile name is snickers and name on rockband is nick. My character is the leader, but i wanted to try to be the singer while my bro plays the guitar still. now the problem i run is too, is that the created player drew(My original drummer guy i created) is not available to be a singer. what is going on? and when i create the same guy to be in the singer slot it says Drew is already created. anyways, i hope that i explained this for some help. thanks again guys.

they cant have the same names cause the names are the file name. so just call him drew 2 or drew vocs or whatever..


secondly.. you wont be able to play BWT with out the leader.. so if the leader is on drums.. he will need to be playing drums in order to play any sets.

so you cant just have the leader thats on drums able to be on vocals as well? like the different instruments? you have to create a new guy for each one? hmm.....

You got it... The leader ALWAYS has to be in the band... Everyone else can be swapped or removed; minimum of 2 players, leader being 1.

thats kinda dumb though, cause my character "drew" would still be the leader just as a different instrument. that doesnt make any sense why they did that

yea that was really confusing for us at first. Our family has 1 xbox live account and it seems that there is weirdness for their created characters at times. The other 3 family members have their own xbox profiles that I guess are stored locally and are not connected to live.

The best thing to do before firing up the game is have each person log into their own profile so they can at least retain the characters they make in game. We still seem to have issues even when we do that. We had one session where it worked for 3 of us and the fourth person was not given the option in BWT mode to select his character....it just had the default selection. If we left and went to some other game mode, there his character was. Really weird and confusing at times...I'm with you on that.

The worst part is when people want to trade out instruments after every song. I gave up with trying to switch everything and told the kids, if you want to play your going to have to just use whatever default they give you : )

This is my best guess at the design:

Don't think of the game band members as who you are in the band. Just create a band with all members. You then grab an instrument and play that band member.

Only problem is Me and my daughter play and she always wants to be a Joan Jet female type rocker.
