Buying a second guitar (i.e., bass) for Wii

Hi. I just bought RB2 for Wii, and I want to add a second guitar so that I can have a bass for RB2 for Wii (in addition to the guitar and drums from the RB2 special box). Just a few questions...

1) When is it likely that they will be sold in stores again, not in the secondary market? Right now, they only seem to be sold on eBay (generally the Fender style) and secondary sellers, and although I'm not sure what the retail price of a Wii RB2 guitar is supposed to be, it seems they are being sold at a premium right now due to lack of supply, selling at $70-100 or more, whether the guitar is used or new. I don't mind buying off of eBay, but I can wait if they will be sold on Amazon again for a reasonable price.

2) As I understand it, Guitar Hero (for Wii) guitars work for Rock Band 2. Is that correct? Does that apply to only some Guitar Hero guitars? And do they work well/are they decent quality?

3) Please share any other advice on getting that second guitar.

Also, just me, but I prefer the GH guitars ALOT over the RB ones. As far as I know, the GH3 Les Paul and GH5 guitars work with RB2.

im goin with wut he said. besides you can buy a new gh3 les paul at gamestop for like around 50 bucks and 20-30 used. and gamestop seems to have stop sellin wii rb2 guitars so go wit the gh3 les paul

All Guitar Hero instruments work without problem on Rock Band 2. For bass play, I do recommend the GHIII Les Paul. I personally prefer the Beatles Guitars for everything else.

Love my Rickenbacker guitar, I want to get the Hofner Bass but they're $150-$200 on the secondary market and I just can't justify that x_X

Not that long ago, I saw a plethora of RB2 guitars for Wii at Best Buy. I don't recommend a Guitar Hero Controller, as (In my opinion) it doesn't have a good-feeling fretboard. Of course, MadCatz [Company that made the official bass guitar (Link below and cymbals for RB2] said that the bass guitar for Wii is currently in production and will be coming out sometime this year. They have shown signs of being close to finishing (As the bass for PS3 has already come out) and I am waiting for that day to come (as my second guitar controller (RB2) broke and I was able to fix it at the price of a piece in my RB1 guitar.)
