how do you find additional songs?

I bought Rock Band for wii off of Ebay used and it didn't come with any instructions. I see that we are supposed to have access to more songs than the 15 or so that show up. How do I get access to the other songs?

You need to unlock additional content by playing through the game, just like every other video game. If you are referring to Rock Band (1), the easiest way is to play through a single player Solo Tour on any instrument on Medium or higher. "Any instrument" includes vocals, drums, or guitar; there is no bass Solo Tour in RB1.

That will unlock every song.
