Hi! Medium is way too easy, but hard is too hard for me. Making the jump to the 5th fret is really hard. How do you do it? Where should I keep my hand on the guitar. I'm having a hard time making the stretch to the orange fret.

Any tips would be appreciated. :)
Thanks in advance.

It usually helps to keep your four fingers over RYBO, as it's easier for your red finger to stretch to green than for your blue finger to stretch orange.

I know what you're going through - everyone has always had the same learning curve on this since the first Guitar Hero. Just keep practicing and eventually moving your hand up and down that fretboard will become second nature.

That's exactly what i do and it is helping me alot, and plus using the RB guitar is easier for me then the GH one since the fret are flat it help sliding your hand up and down the fretboard.

Thank you for the quick response. That makes sense, I'll give it a shot. Thanks again

The first and best tip is of course practice. Everyone has there own methods, but the first catch is this.

From now on even on medium, place your index finger on the Red fret instead of the green. Get in the habit of moving your hand down only for green, then back up. This will put your other fingers feeling "off". For example your middle finger will have to relearn that it isn't on Red, and is now yellow instead. Basically your goal here is to be able to have those 4 fingers slide up and down the fret's while still "knowing" where they are. The best way for me to do that was to play medium with index on Red.

Also consider this, your index finger is the strongest, although you maybe comfortable where your hand is now, it won't be so comfortable constantly stretching the pinky. Make the index do the work. Then practice, also play songs you know and love, that helped me as well.
