I finally have all my instruments back in house and working so far(granted its only been a day)
The guitar is now the magnet type, I think? It has the two little boards on either side of the strum bar with a little metal insert inside the plastic nub on the bar itself. That came in yesterday....November 21st until December 26th to get a new guitar...maybe it was a blessing in disguise.
I got the new drums in on Monday...a week after request an express replacement. Kind of understandable, I guess, with the holiday season..but I'm just happy to get working ones again. It feels good to be able to rock on ...And Justice For All and Joker & The Thief again.
Anyway, has anyone had any sort of problems out of this strum bar configuration? I for some reason feel a lot more comfortable playing it now that I know whats in there.

I have the new guitar and while it seems to work much better, I find it difficult to hit the 1/16th notes on it. It probably has to do with the lack of feedback as opposed to the GH controller. Do the new drums seem to work better around the edges on the new set?

I must have lucked out, my guitar and drums both work perfect still.

Is there a way to tell if you have the newer strum without opening the guitar?
Mine seems to register just fine I just have some trouble with fast parts, I think I'm too used to the "click" of the GH guitars and the click I think helps me to get on rythym with the song.
