Hi, I'm.. not exactly new to Rock Band in and of itself, but this is my first post here. Read the not TL;DR version following the body if you so wish.
I'm asking about various hardware quirks regarding my Drum Pads and Fender Stratocaster- Rock Band 2 and "special edition set" recieved Christmas 2009- that seem to be to the detriment of the game's playability.
As for the drums, I was more or less completely new to playing those on Christmas, but have already gone up to Hard and Expert difficulties, which brings up issues regarding the rubber pads. They are... er, dislodging themselves from the bases. What started as a minor annoyance, a tiny air bubble with the capacity to throw off one in ten thousand hits, has managed to rip the pad out from under the plastic rims.My dad says that "continual use" (ha ha) deteriorates the glue and that the rubber ends up coming off eventually. I don't exactly whack the drums into submission during use, so this puzzles me.
The guitar-- is a little more troublesome. It's being plauged by rolling errors, one being, "register the Minus button at every frame unless it is pressed down," another, "fail to register the guitar being turned upward," another, "fail to register the strum bar being pressed downward while in the 'righty' mode," the latter of all being the most annoying.
I'd like to know if there is any way to fix these- and if any of these problems void the warranty, before I take the steps required to fill out the return materials authorization prior to finding out it's null anyway.
