Can the Aquarian Cymbal Springs be used with the stock ION Drum Rocker cymbals and mounting hardware?

If so:

Are there any know issues?

Would you recommend the Medium (Red) or Heavy (Yellow) version?

I picked one up (red) and I'm guessing the answer is no. Seems like the v-notch mounting style for the stock ION cymbals would require a longer threaded shaft on the Aquarian spring in order for it to work. Also, the Aquarian spring doesn't fit on the stock ION cymbal arm.
