All Save Progress Lost!!!!! help

long story short.my power went out during a save and now all my save progress is gone!:eek:
i checked my HDD its still there but its not under my user name .. it says unknown..
is there any way to recover my progress without having to start over again?:confused:

Which system is this on?

Typically when something happens to your save file, there is no way to recover your progress, sorry. All the needed information is on your drive and not stored anywhere else.
