22 of the 55 exportable RB1 songs are playable in Lego: Rock Band.

Unless you're on the Wii, upon which you can't export the RB1 songs anyway.

...or on the PS3 where somehow L/RB songs dont work on RB2 and RB1 songs are gone for both games.

Um, if you're RB1, RB2, and LRB games are from a different region, then yes, that will happen.

maybe, but I had all my RB1 tracks on my RB2 data block with no issue, then they suddenly vanished without a trace, also, both my RB2 and L/RB are region 1. I dont know what region my RB1 was, I long since sold the disk... but since it already worked, there shouldnt be an issue... right?

Wait, they worked, then vanished? Did any other DLC vanish?

All DLC currently is stored in the RB1 data directory, so if you kill that, you remove all your DLC.

Oddly enough, I still have all of my other DLC, which is relieving to say the least. I've debated on deleting my RB1 directory and starting over, but before I do that I am trying to get an idea of what could have caused it (mostly because its gonna take a long time to dl all that music again and I dont want to do it all only to find that it dint work for some other reason).
I bought L/RB for Xmas and neglected RB2 till the recent update came out for the PS3. When that came out, I did the update and was gonna play a few songs only to find that I was missing the tracks from RB1 and L/RB.
Of course, I never checked to see if the L/RB tracks ever actually installed so for all I know the L/RB dl pack was the cause. I considered the L/RB game data itself, since it actually didnt have one till the recent update on that platform... but when I tried to reinstall the RB1 and L/RB packs ... nothing
I also considered the RB2 update to be the cause and deleted the RB2 game data, reinstalled the RB1 tracks, and powered up the game without accepting the update ... still nothing.
I cant think of anything else and came here in hopes that someone else is having or had this issue and there is either a fix or a fix on the way. I really dont want to lose those RB1 tracks, some of my favorites came from that game.

Here's one last question.

Did you simply Download the export licence? Or the actual export? The export needs to be purchased though the Lego Music Store.

Otherwise, i'm stupmed. Doesn't make much sense. Try calling HMX.

Er yes, if you have PS3 or XBox 360. If you export the tracks to the hard drive, they'll show up in Rock Band (Run to the Hills, Paranoid, and Enter Sandman won't transfer because of licensing issues; plus 33 of the 55 remaining tracks won't make it past the filter, but the 22 remaining tracks will then be playable in Lego Rock Band, and RB2 for that matter.)
