Xbox 360 game error

I have had the game stop spinning several times during tattoo edit or just after finishing a song. The Xbox 360 gives me the error that the disc is unreadable. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Is this a problem with the disc or the system. The game is in perfect shape. I just got it for Christmas.

I've had the dirty disc error several times but only on Rock Band.

I've narrowed it down to right after I finish playing downloaded song that is not on the disc. It sounds like the disc stops spinning after the song, the loading screen times out, and a dirty disc error appears.

I haven't had the issue with any of the songs on the original disc, just the DLC. I'll keep track of it to see if it's specific to any pack or song.

I had the same dirty disk issue after I finished filling out my character name. It has only happened to me once though. Where as NHL 2k8 does it to me after every other game or so.

I'm sorry you have had that problem too. Do you think it's a hardware or software issue? Do you know if this topic has come up before in this forum?

All my other games work fine.
I have the same problem, and basically it now has spread to all songs that are not played in Quickplay. :(
On mine though, I can def see a part of the disc that is damaged, and its not a simple smudge that can just come off with a cloth, as I have used a non-abrasive one to try and do just this.

I was in the same boat you guys are but it happend to me on Oblivion. It's hard to belive but trust me it's your Xbox 360. I sent my 360 in and got it back 3 weeks later put the same Oblivion dics in and it worked fine.

I've had the same thing happen to me after playing DLC. I had better luck playing the DLC in the Solo Tour and not in Quickplay. Not sure why, but it's what works for me.

See, I would believe you KillTacular, cept there is visible damage to my disc, which i had only taken out of the gm box and put in the gm. The damage is not circular, and it looks like smudges, but will not come off without a cloth.

I've had the same issue happen to me. At first I thought it was my 360, however after my first copy of Rock Band scratched up (I've gone through two copies now) I tried playing other games such as Mass Effect, Halo 3, NHL 08 and Crackdown. I've played all games for hours on end and even use my Xbox as my main DVD player. Not one single scratch on any disc.

However, I've received the same scratch on two different copies of Rock Band, so I'm convinced there's something wrong with either the game or the media the game was printed on.

I'm going to try some disc scratch repair services and see if that helps.

I downloaded Attack, when I play it on solo mode guitar I get through to the end I see my score I click Ok, and it stalls then gives game is dirty. Only happens with downloaded songs.

I havent taken RB out of my 360 since I got it but the day after I downloaded Roxanne and played it a couple time I get a DRE whenever I try to load World Tour. Quickplay works perfectly fine tho. I suspected the old "360 eats discs" notion but that usually leaves a perfect circle behind. Mine doesn't have it, just the light scratches that any other CD would have

We really need to find a solution to all this...I need to unlock more songs!!!

I, along with some others, seem to only have the issue with the DLC. I haven't had the error recently though. Once i finish playing a downloaded song, I immediately hit continue to progress through the score screen and back to the menu.

The problem is, this is pretty difficult to do when playing Band World Tour and having DLC showup on a setlist...I just have to cross my fingers.

Oh yea, i also tried clearing my xbox cache but that doesn't seem to work.

I'm reporting that this issue is coming up with DLC to see if it is something we can look into. I'll let you know if I find anything out.

As for those of you who think they may have defective disks, those are covered by our software warranty policy (you can find a link to that in my signature).

So we have to send our Disc first? I'm canadian, So that means, id prolly have to wait a good month or more before i could play rockband again? This sucks.. I get the Error all the time after songs. I think that the only thing that hasn't broke yet is the BOX it came in.

I have gotten a couple DRE with Rock Band just last night. And my 360 is fresh back from repair less than a week ago. I did not pay attention to see if it was on DLC or not will have to check next time. Also is it me or when you download a number of songs does the game take forever to load that DLC?

I have the same issue with downloadable content. Has there been any fixes for this?

Just last night I was playing Rock Band 2 with a friend, Guitar, Drums, and Vocals when the disc unreadable message came up. Now whenever I try to access quickplay or basically anything on guitar or drums, I would go down the songs, the cover art would be black and the error would come up. It lets me go down the song list with the regular 360 controller for the mic though, just not the guitar or drums. I don't have any DLC on it so it's not just effecting those people.
