I sent in my PS3 guitar on the standard, no credit card hold shipping.

It was sent out by me to EA on Dec 11th but only updated "complete" as of yesterday.

So does "complete" mean the guitar has been received and I have to wait even longer for them to process it even though their "2 Day" shipping took 15 days or does it mean that the guitar is shipped and I should be receiving a UPS Tracking Number any day now.

Thanks for any help.

complete usually means your RMA is closed. whats troubling is i would think that would not be the case until you sign for your UPS delivery.
maybe they jump the gun and call it "complete" when the replacement is finally shipped out and in UPS's hands. i would call and request a tracking # to make sure it hasnt been lost.

i just saw your thread after replying in this one. i was going to link the OP to it to let him know again he should call to get a tracking number and see if he's getting shafted similarly.

So what is the status sequence for the guitar replacements? I did the express shipping on the 25th and it has gone from:
-New RMA
-Label Printed

The EA support guy tells me that they are waiting for UPS to pick up the package, but it has been on "Label Printed" since yesterday at noon. WTF???

I did express too and this is how I remember it. New RMA, Label Printed, Parts Shipped (and I have my doubts that parts shipped means UPS has it. I think it just means they stuck the label on the box and have it in a designated pick up area for UPS), then when they receive your faulty guitar back it shows "completed"

Ok just got off the phone with support. They said that if it says complete on the support site and you haven't received a tracking number yet to call and they can give you the number.

Very very helpful actually which is different than what alot of what I'm seeing on here.

What number did you call?

650-628-1001 Option 1 then Option 3

But I was mistaken. The tracking number they gave me was for the original empty box shipment. So I called back and they said they received my broken on the 17th and shipped out the new one yesterday. Said I should get it this week but flat out refused to give me a new tracking number. So now I'm very skeptical that it was even sent out.

These people are worse than the Indians who barely speak English at Dell.

Anyone know if in fact it's a separate tracking number when they send you the guitar back from when they send you the empty box. For the life of me I can't get a straight answer from customer support on this.

there is no way the tracking numbers would be the same. it would be too confusing. it would risk your own stuff getting returned before reaching it's destination. sounds like they werent sure whether or not your stuff was sent out and skirted around it hoping youd get off the phone without ripping them a new one. hopefully they did send it out, and when you called they freaked out and sent out another one just in case and you end up with two. :)
