Wii RB2 drumset power light flickers, disconnects during play

my RB2 standalone drumset's power light continuously flickers whenever it is on and it disconnects while I'm playing and stays disconnected until I wait a while or jumble the position of the batteries. The light on the dongle stays solid, turning off for less than half a second at a time. Help?

If youare playing Guitar Hero with it, then you're sh!t out of luck. However, switch the batteries to new one. Make sure the dongle is in an open area and press both sync buttons (On the drums and dongle). The dongle is supposed the flicker on and off.

I think you misunderstood.
the POWER LIGHT on the drum set, not on the dongle, continuously flickers whenever the unit is connected.
The controller disconnects randomly. When the unit disconnects, the light on the DONGLE blinks off for like 1/20 of a second but otherwise stays on.

Batteries are a good idea. Try a fresh set.
From there make sure the contacts in the battery compartment are clean.
If the problem persists and they are under warranty, then an RMA is in order.
I remember reading somewhere about batteries coming loose during play and the person padded the battery compartment lid with a little bit of weatherstrip foam to hold the batteries firmly in place.

Having the same problem with ps3 rb2 drums. Tried the battery thing and it didn't work for me.
