I just purchased a new 80 gig PS3 and Rock Band.
The wireless guitar can't seem to connect at all, so the support website "thinks there is a problem with the guitar" and they are sending me a replacement. After reading some of these posts, i kinda wonder when i'll actually get it and whether it'll be a refurb or new.
Additionally, the drums worked the first time I connected them; however, now the drums will not connect as a controller. The red backlight goes on and stays on behind the PS button and when i start the game it says it's an "unkown usb device."
Between the time that the drums worked, and now, I installed the PS3 firmware upgrade to 2.10. Could this have anything to do with the now "unknown USB device" (i.e. the drums) not working.
The guitar never worked, so I can't really compare that. Microphone works now, but i never tested it it prior to the 2.10 install.
Any thoughts? or am i sending my drums in too?
