When doing songs that have the notes really close together at a fast pace, like a snare roll, it only registers like 50% of the notes. Looking through forums I remember seeing like a penny mod or something where you put something on top of something in the drums. Yeah I don't remember much. But if anyone has the link or knows what'll work please let me know. Thank!

penny mod doesn't help too much due to the coin bouncing registering more than one hit. Best bet is to pad the sensor inside the drum more so the pads have less give. This cause the sensor to get the full hit of the sticks. Its like combining the tape mod with the penny mod.
I have a link in my sig to a mod that may help you.

a quick fix is taping the red pad down.. i did that and it definitely helps a good amount.. not perfect yet, but you'll definitely pick up more snare hits..

also, there's a thread on the first page about "Gum Rubber pads" - which supposedly also help the sensitivity as well, as well as rebound, and it reduces sound.. so that might be a great fix if you're into doing some handy work with your drum set.. hope those methods help you out!

The only songs that really have like really fast snares(like rolls) are Cherub Rock and Train Kept a Rollin. And they're short little parts. And yea other songs too,but Ive tried to roll for them and it jut doesnt work. You have to hit them really fast. For a song such as Run To The Hills, you have to just hit them fast, not rolling. Build up your endurance and play faster ;) What song are you talking about in particular though?

i can't remember which songs, the games at my parents house so i can't find out. but i'm pretty confident that i'm hitting them fine. i play drums in "real life."

i think i am going to the do the gum rubber thing. i just figured that doing the first thing mentioned would help even more.

there are different versions of the drums but I just set them in the center hole where the sensor sits on my set.

A good way to hit quickly is to allow the stick to bounce, only putting downward pressure on the stick.

Also, hold the stick gently between your thumb and the first knuckle on your index finger. The stick will bounce 2 or 3 times inbetween each downward push.

Hope this helps.

well i've tried that but it gets tiring when its over and over again. plus i think my game should do what its sopposed to do.

I'm having the same problem . I'm not at the point where I have to do rolls in songs because I only play medium-hard but for drum fills and big endings and stuff I try to do a roll but the red pad doesn't register all of him and sometimes doesn't play at all... and I don't know how to take the drum pad off and put a pad so the sensitivity is better so if some one could PM me and give me a helping hand that would be great

despite the ugliness (which really isn't that bad), i taped the red and yellow pads down and WOW it registers everything now. it's freakin fantastic.

Technique, technique, technique...

If you're double stroke rolls aren't clean, then you can't expect the pad to register them cleanly either. These pads require a finesse not a beating. Work on your technique and the sound will come...

nah they just suck. the sensor isnt sensitive enough. thats why taping them works fantastically (and why the rubber pads work, they're heavy, which pushed the pads down, just like the tape)
