Before you make any drastic decisions, double check your connections.

Did you get 3 red rings or 4? If it's 4, then that's not that bad. 4 Red rings indicate a problem with the A/V hookup, just double check all your wiring and connections and make sure everything is fine.

If it was 3 red rings, then those are the ones indicating a hardware problem. That's when you have to send it out for replacement.

It was three. I turned my Xbox back on 30 minutes later and it worked. The next time i turned it off about an hour ago it got the three rings again. I already placed the repair order i just dont get it. Still waiting to see if it will work again.

dont be so quick to blame the hub. i mean it could be the reason, but is there really a way you know for sure? could have just been a coincidence that it happened. you said it happened the next session you turned on the system. maybe it was overworked or something the last time you used it. who knows.
i remember reading about all these idiots that said call of duty 3 bricked their ps3s and blamed the game, even though the same problems occurred to other people playing other games. electronics fail, it happens!

No dude i know for sure it was the hub. i got one of the pretty early 360's. I got mine in March 06. I have about 7 or so friends that got their 360s up to a year later than mine and every single one of them has had a problem and had to send theirs in. Me, I have had NONE. Today when i put in rock band it worked fine. i went to plug the usb hub in and turned the 360 off. turned it back on less than 3 seconds later and got the 3 red rings. Also it couldn't of been overworked it was on for less than a minute before i turned it off plugged the usb hub in and turned it back on.

dude, i got my 360 in march of '06 too, and i got the 3 red lights the day BEFORE i got my Rock Band bundle. so, yes, it could just be a coincidence.

dude your a dumbass, first off, its a goddamn usb hub for god sake. And if your ****ty 360 can't take it then you 360 was long over due to die. Only the biggest of dumbass's would conceive the notion that a usb hub killed an xbox 360.

one of mine died too, not to blame it on the Hub as it was from 9/6/06, so it was bound to happen. my other 360 (a launch one from 05 died last summer) so it is bound to happen to just about anyone with a model made before the end of July 07-as this is when i hear most problems were finally fixed and started shipping 360s with newer parts and models, etc.

dude, no game, no contoller, nothing kills the xboxs. THE RED RINGS ARE HARDWARE MALFUNCTION, not caused by anything but overheat, console drops, or misuse. DUMB F***!!!!!
