View Full Version : UPS Tracking and EA Status

I have a question for all of you who already have the experience dealing with the replacements.
The EA order status of my guitar says parts shipped. But on the UPS tracking page it shows Billing Information Received.
Is this normal? I pay for the express service to have the replacement fast but the UPS site doesn't give any info of the status of this package.
BTW my RMA case is: 071226-007543

So far this is what I've seen on mine:
-New RMA
-Label Printed
Anybody from EA or just anybody could give us a list of the EA Status process?

The "Parts Shipped" status on your RMA means that we have packed your box and staged it for pickup by UPS. Your status just switched over yesterday, so you should see an update on the UPS side (via the tracking number) sometime today or tomorrow.
If you don't see an update in that time, send me a PM with your incident number and I'll check on it again.

Hi Violet,
For some reason private messages are not working on the forums. My incident number is 071225-006859 and though my status has changed to "Parts shipped" my UPS tracking number still says "Billing Information Received" I really hope I can get my guitar for New Years

The "Parts Shipped" status on your RMA means that we have packed your box and staged it for pickup by UPS. Your status just switched over yesterday, so you should see an update on the UPS side (via the tracking number) sometime today or tomorrow.

i'm having the same problem as everyone else. it's been 13 days now for me on my second replacement pedal.
my reference number is 071214-008880.
i also sent a question in yesterday but there's no response on that yet.

According to EA my guitar was supposed to be picked up by UPS on the "Label Printed" status which was on Dec 26, well my status changed yesterday Dec 27 to "Parts shipped" at around 3pm, However my UPS tacking number status still shows the same "Billing information recieved" which tells me that nothing has been shipped. Now, I really don't know if I will be able to get my guitar before New Years. Am I reading the wrong UPS tracing number?

Treo, you still look like you may be able to get your guitar on time. Your replacement got switched to "Parts Shipped" yesterday which means they staged the box for UPS to pickup. You should see the UPS tracking number updated today or possibly tomorrow at the latest when they scan it onto the truck or into their distribution hub.
I am hoping that you get your guitar either on the 30th or on the 31st before your party starts based on the timeline. Let me know if you don't see an update on the tracking number, though.

As was said before, I'm not able to PM Violet because it seems they are turned off, but would like to know the status of my return from someone other than EA's phone support (my faith in them isn't high after reading these forums a bit.)
I did a standard return, and my status is listed as "Updated by EA" as of the 23rd, but doesn't say if they've received the old guitar or if they have shipped the new one. My tracking # is still that of the empty box, so I assume they haven't shipped it yet.
My Ref number is 071213-000463. Thanks in advance.

I'll add mine to the bunch. Everyone is coming over New Years Eve to play. My current UPS status said it will arrive on the 31st, but it still hasn't shipped as of my last check on the shipping tracker.

And to boot, my foot pedal on the drums snapped in two today. We are hopefully going to be able to shore it up until I get it replaced. I am on hold with EA support right now (20 minutes so far), and doubt I will get a new one in any timely manner from what I have read. But I am hoping some duct tape and a firm topper will make it work for the party in the meantime. *fingers crossed*

Violet... I heard a rumour that if Canadians try to update their status online... the RMA is actually cancelled. Can you confirm if this is true or not? Canadians are REALLY getting the shaft in this and it's driving me nuts.

Don't worry, it's not just Canadians. I live in California and I updated, well tried, my question on the support site and got a nice canned response that my whole RMA process had been canceled. Not fun.

Similar situation here.. UPS picked up my box/guitar, and I wasnt given any method of tracking it back to EA.

EAxViolet, I am one of those unlucky Canadians that are waiting for any news from EA on "express" replacement for my guitar.
I received an e-mail from EA on Dec.31st saying that my RMA was cancelled. I called and the CS person could not explain why it happened and created a new RMA for me. Due to the time I had lost she was nice enough to escalate my new RMA (Incident # 080101-000105). She told me that I would receive a call within 24hrs. This has not yet happened.
Can you please help and look into this?
