Hi everyone. Recently, my green fret on my Xbox 360 Rock Band 2 guitar has started to lose responsiveness. When going through menus, I have to either tap the green fret twice to continue, or basically slam it in with my finger to get any kind of response. Which I know isn't a very good thing to do.

While playing a song, when I hold the note down, sometimes it will activate- and on screen, the green fret icon will flicker constantly. What does this mean? It ruins trying to play any song, and I know it's my guitar because I've tried it on RB1, RB2, and GH:A. And in each game, the green fret issue has come up.

Any help to fix this would be appreciated.

[And I have re-synched the guitar with my Xbox, in hope that was the issue. It's not.]

I actually tried that earlier, and it worked fine....... for about a minute and a half. Then it went back to flickering, almost worse then before. So, my only option might be to just keep yanking the green fret off every other minute?

Still, thanks for the response.. I might be able to work some kind of solution out with this method!

the guitars do have a life-span. I couldn't say specifically how long that is, but they do experience wear-and-tear when used for prolonged time. I had gotten my first RB2 strat with RB2 when it was released, and just this past fall I had to purchase a new RB2 strat because my original one's Blue-Button was becoming less and less responsive.

My advice is to go buy a new guitar for the game. I am not sure if there are any DIY repairs or not. You'd have to scour the internet for some if they exist.

at the end of my other comment when i said it works "fine now". i literally meant now. like next time i play rb my guitar is gonna have the same fret problems. im sick of it. i wonder if i can return it but probably not cause its not a standalone it part of the bundle
