I'll get it for the ten backing tracks that I care about.. I might even play it once or twice.. Then I'll be off to rip the backing tracks to my iPod for genuine rocking out on me gitaroo's

Don't give me that ****. Besides a few good songs the 80's is entirely lame,cheesy unknown 80's tunes. Its called cashing in for quick bucks.......and im glad you have good taste in 80's music.

How did you manage to get it today? Did you pre-order it and it got delivered early? I had problems with my pre-order, so it hasn't shipped yet, so I wont get it until sometime next week. I can't wait to play it, I need some new songs to play, although these songs don't seem to hard, I think they will be a lot of fun to play.

EDIT: oh I see you got it from toys R us hmm? Lucky, I'm gonna stick it out and wait for my pre-order because I get a cool free Guitar Hero T-shirt with it!

The setlist is so-so. The 80s themselves were so-so. Limozeen is my personal reason to buy although I'm looking forward to some Twisted Sister as well.

Overall it's an average, if pricy, expansion. But what the hell do I care? Mine is free!

Wrong GH3 is made of an entirely different code by entirely different developers.. HMX retained all rights and ownership of the GH 1, 2 and 80's code..

The 80's are definitely not my thing, but my friend had this, so I tried it out. On the previous GH soundtracks, I've had no problem with the covering artists. But in this one, I have to say I wasn't impressed at all. I'm glad "As made famous by" is on it's way out

That's true, but it's not as though many new wave songs were very guitar heavy. Many New Wave hooks came from synth and keytar. I guess it wouldn't have been completely out of the realm of possibility because of Less Talk More Rokk, but honestly, would you have liked it more?
