When using the GH3 controller with Rock Band, what features do not work?

Thanks.

The Chorus or Reverb sfx in the solos or Overdrive do not work - but otherwise it works ok.

We've all heard about the RB controller not working with GH because of EA vs. Activision... but what about the RB controller not working with Boom Boom Rocket and the Guitar Pack DLC? Maybe it's my controller (I have a new one on the way from EA), but you would think with both RB and BBR being games from EA that they would be compatible! Nope.

So overdrive does not work? That is a BIG letdown since that is an important feature!

overdrive works, you just cannot give it funny effects like "wah wah", "flange", "chorus" etc...you can still go into overdrive.

...That would mean anything that you use the solo buttons for do not work.

Ok, so everything works except the effects switch?

No biggie there, I don't really use that much anyway.

Thanks.

Yeah, I just found that out....I switched to my GH3 Les Paul for RB....

I know what the RB guitar is trying to make you do now.....It wants you to use an alternate strum to play (you know.....like a real guitarist) instead of just always down down down like in GH. I was trying to get used to it, but it's tough. I have to re-work how I play the guitar and that takes time, I mean I've played a lot since GH2 (360) came out and I've gotten pretty good.....

you should be able to play with only downstrums...if you can't then your guitar is broken (down strums not registering is a common problem)
