Hi - I know there are loads of threads about exporting, I've read through most of them and none are answering the question i have...
I got my Export key - this is for PS3 btw
I purchased and downloaded the Export from the Lego Rockband Music store....which took about 30 mins... it finished downloading and installing...
....Now what?!?
I can't find anything, anwhere in any of the games about where the songs are downloaded to, if they've been downloaded, or how to actually get them into RB1...
Any help gratefully appreciated!!!

I had the same problem, now heres how to get your dang songs ;)
Step 1: Go into LRB
Step 2: Enter Lego Rock Band Music Store (In Game)
Step 3: If you have DL'd the key, while in music store, one of your options will be export songs, this costs 11$
please respond if I got it right,

According to the leaflet that came with the game you can play the songs in Rock Band or Rock Band2.

You probably only downloaded the export key. After DL'ing the export key, you have to go to the Lego Rock band In-Game Store and actually purchase the export for 11$

Did you enter the lego rock band key found inside the pamphlet?

I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT.
YOU THINK THAT YOU NEED THE EXPORT KEY FROM THE STORE THATS $4.99.
WRONG!
THERE IS A EXPORT KEY THAT IS FOUND IN THE LEGO RB CASE (IF BRAND NEW), YOU NEED TO CONFIRM IT ON A PART OF THIS WEBSITE, LOOK IT UP.
AFTER THAT, ENTER THE CODE THEY GIVE YOU AFTER CONFIRMING IT ON THE PS3 REDEEM CODE, FROM THERE, YOU WILL GET THE EXPORT KEY. DOWNLOAD THAT AND THEN GO TO THE LEGO ROCK BAND STORE AND PURCHASE THE ACTUALLY EXPORT FOR $11.
THIS IS IT!

I have a PS3...I sent my code by e-mail and obtained the 12 digit redemption code and export key; entered code; downloaded key and installed; put in lego rock band; purchased the export pack for $9.99; downloaded for 3 hours and installed; now what? I hate those tiny lego pieces!!

They all should be mixed in with your RB DLC. They don't have a distinct logo (which is a shame, they should).
