No Guitar/Bass Option, Only Voice!!!!!

Hey everyone,
New to this game, just got it at ebgames tonight. I specifically asked what was needed and was told a drum kit, guitar or controller. They never had any guitar/drum kits left, so he said the controller would be fine. So I got it.....and its not working. I tried multiplayer mode, solo modes, and I cannot change the game for guitar. The only option it seems to be stuck on is voice. I play a song and its for voice, not guitar. Is there a way I can change this feature so I can play the game with one controller for the Xbox 360 like you would do for Guitar Hero series?

You have to have a guitar controller to play guitar. Anything else will be recognized as a mic controller. Unless it's a drum controller.

Yeah, that dude either straight up lied to you or didn't have a clue what he was talking about. All you can do with just a controller is vocals...and you need a mic for that as well. Sorry dude.

No, unlike Guitar Hero, you cannot play the guitar part with a standard controller.

with the Controller you can only use it with Mic the dude at the store lied or didn't have a clue

you can use your xbox 360 headset to sing as well not just the microphone
