Well this weeks update on AC/DC's official website (http://www.acdc.com/news/news.php?uid=136) confirms that a third announcement will be made this Friday the 26th. The announcement was supposed to be revealed last week, but was delayed. Other than that, there aren't much details regarding this, or hints, etc.

Let the weekly speculation begin!

UPDATE: The rumormill is at it's work. The rumor is that the announcement is going to be a DVD release for "Let There Be Rock: The Movie (Live In Paris)". THESE ARE JUST RUMORS

why do you say a third ? AC/DC just recently announced that they were headlining Donnington Download Festival, and that they were releasing the AC/DC: Iron Man 2 album.

You know what I like about you? I don't follow AC/DC very closely yet, thanks to your posts, I feel like I know just about every move they make. Thanks for keeping us updated! :)

Can you video tape your reaction to this news once it's released? You seem giddy at the announcement for the announcement. I want to see how happy you are at the announcement.

UPDATE: Rumors are starting to fly that the announcement is going to be a DVD release of "Let There Be Rock: The Movie (Live In Paris)". Once again, THESE ARE JUST RUMORS. Personally I hope those rumors are false. That would be a pretty lame announcement imo. Especially since that concert you can already listen to on the Bonfire 5 Disc set. And even though the actual footage was only released on VHS, I still think that would be a terrible announcement to hype up.

I'm still praying for a Black Ice Tour DVD and/or Live Album.

^And General Lein979, if the announcement is exciting, I promise I will film an exclusive recording of me just for the RB foums.

Well if it's any concert DVD, hopefully it gets a Blu-ray release like No Bull and Live at Donington.

That'd be one hell of an announcement! I'd be all over that.

The announcement will be something to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Back in Black in June. You can bet on that.

Even the possiblity of them performing the whole album front to back live at Donnington. Although I don't see that as being that big of a deal. Cool idea though.

Woman went into labor at an AC/DC concert recently and held out until the end of the show before going to the hospital...before waiting another 35 hours to pop him out.

Stupid DJ's not getting their news right. They reported that she had given birth at the concert. Must always remember to check my sources

The rumors were correct Highway, its the DVD.

From Eddie Trunk:

2/24/10: Lot's of email about my post about the AC/DC film Let There Be Rock coming out on DVD. Had no idea I was saying something newsworthy at the time but guess I was as many are shocked this is finally happening and asking for confirmation. I have it folks and have watched it. Its amazing. What I have is an advance screener. When I have more news about when it's coming out I will let you know. I suspect a few months or so. The restoration is awesome looking and sounding. Looks like Warner is the company issuing it when it does hit stores. I wasn't told to keep this is a secret but judging by the reaction to my past posts this is major news to many fans of this incredible band.

That's cool, I guess. I hope it's released on Blu Ray. On a side note - Am I the only one here who actually saw "Let There be Rock" in the theater?

It was released in the theater back in '82 and treated like a full concert, complete with AC/DC pins for your jacket, t-shirts, programs, etc...and of course, at the time, the theater speakers weren't enough to handle the music, so they set up a wall of amps on either side of the screen, otherwise known as "The Wall of Sound". It was loud as f*ck and actually shook the friggin' theater walls.

Anyway, it was awesome. I think I still have my pins and program too.

Nope. A bunch of my friends and I went, I was pretty young so I don't remember the movie itself a whole lot but do remember the experience. It really was like going to a concert, I'd never been to a movie where the crowd was actually cheering and screaming throughout the film. Was a lot of fun!

Hah. Yep! It was exactly like that. I've never seen a movie theater so wild - outside of "Rocky Horror." But I was pretty young too, (freshman year) I had actually never been to a real concert before, so that was my first taste of what would be many, many live shows to come. Including seeing AC/DC live 10 times since then. (excluding the current tour)
