ps3 died

rock band gave me a bad guitar
now in the middle of playing rock band...my ps3 freezes and now it won't read discs at all
reformatting my ps3 right now

sounds like your blu ray laser died. same thing happened to me playing resistance a long time ago. reformatting really wouldnt help if it's the laser. best way is to pop in various discs and not just ps3 games. try ps2, ps1, dvds, cds, etc. if your problem is like the one i had the ps3 wont recognize any of them. hopefully youre under warranty.

I called support today and they said try to reformat since bad data files might have messed up my ps3's ability to read anything
if it doesn't work I'll be sending it in
