ok this is probably the dumbest question ever but how do you play online:confused:

when i tried that it just had me and my friend play a song its on the ps3 if that helps

OK on the PS3 you go to multiplayer, then choose band quick play, then choose online multiplayer. You have to be connected to the internet (via ethernet or wireless, I'v had no issues with connecting wirelessly) and you have to have a Playstation Network ID (it's free so there's no reason you shouldn't have one).

Depending on the time of day it might take a while to find enough players for a full or partial band.
