Check out this song, it's called Sam and was released by The Meat Puppets way back in 1991.

Do you think this would be good downloadable content?

I realize most of the responses are going to be something like "Who the heck are The Meat Peppets?"

They're probably best known from their appearance on the Nirvana Unplugged performance. Plateau and Lake of Fire were originally written and released by this band. They also had a little bit of mainstream success with the album "Too High to Die" released in 1994. The album included the tracks Backwater and We Don't Exist. They're mostly known for their success on the Indie/Alternative circuit and college radio and were very popular with many of the big artists of the early nineties.

And still a lot of you are going to say that it would be horrible DLC and that I must have some sort of mental deficiency to suggest such a song. I recommend it for DLC, because I think it would be fun for the vocalists trying to keep up with the tongue twisting rapid vocals. It would also be fun for the other instruments because of the previously mentioned rapid pace of the song and there's a decent guitar solo in there.

I submitted the DLC request and realize that there is pretty much no chance that this would actually be considered. I don't even think that anyone actually reads the requests. Probably too many people requesting over a hundred songs each at a time. Oh well I'm probably biased for this song because of nostalgic reasons.

Most of you probably won't even check the youtube link I listed at the top of this post because of your lack of familiarity with the Meat Puppets. I just want to see if anyone else likes this band/song.

Ha! THat would be both fun and crazy hard to sing. I bought Too High to Die and really enjoyed that album, but never got any more Meat Puppets after that.

Backwater is awesome. I love that song and would love to see it in Rock Band. Anytime that song comes on I crank it up and sing along. It's one of those songs that when it is on the radio I never change it to see what else is on. If it is being played, that is what I am listening to lol.

That...song...is...crazy

I know our lead singer would cry up a storm when we play it, but it still would be funny to listen to him stumble his way through it.
