havent even had it for a year and the red drum is now broken. also the drums were never that good to begin with the drum sticks dont bounce good off them and the velocity sensitive crap just makes the sound effects sound bad.. i want them loud all the time! all the drums had dents in the middle of them after just a week or two of drumming and trust me i dont bang harder on them than ur supposed to. thinking of getting an ION drumset cuz rock band intruments suck..

Regardless of what you say, I have the feeling that you are hitting the pads harder than you should.
I have had mine for over a year now and play almost every night - no problems at all.
If you have the coin, go for the ION- better customization.

You do realize you don't have to hit the drums that hard.

You could always modify/repair your drums.
GoodWood mods has some neat mesh heads that would upgrade and repair your existing set, plus they make that way cool support strut add on that makes the red and green pads stronger and more responsive.
If you don't feel comfortable working on your drum kit getting an ION kit is a nice way to go.

My, aren't we the mature one.
Most of the above posts have been helpful, and you retort with insults. Not a stellar start.
The drums are made of plastic and will wear down. If you don't take the advice of the members above (GoodWood, ION), consider getting the official silencer pads. I've had them on my RB2 set since day one and my kit works as well now as the day I bought them, and I've had my 3 and 6 year old beat the snot out of them.

Well now, if you knew what you were doing you probably wouldn't have broken them, would you?
I've had a RB1 set, RB2 set, AND a WT set and they all still work perfectly. Same with all 4 of my plastic guitars.
Maybe you have a lemon? I mean, it does happen when you manufacture over 100,000 of these things

I'm surprised it was not asked - but what weight of sticks are you using? The unit ships with a pair of 7As, but a variety of sticks are available.
I guarantee a pair of 1As would beat the tar out of the set in only a few days even played properly.
I use an Ion, full cymbals, and upgraded with Pintech 14s. It's a great set.

By the way - you're gay. Grow up.
If you don't want the advice given here, then don't post. Nothing was said here was a personal attack on you, so try not to respond like a snot-nosed brat.
Go for the ION. The Rock Band drums are plastic and you get what you pay for - commonly referred to "buyer beware."
And try to use proper puncuation next time. "I" is a pronoun and sentences have periods in them.
