Did anyone pick this up? I was very skeptical about it at first but my girlfriend insisted on us getting it, so we did... and WOW, this game is awesome!
The graphics are really good, the control is well put together, the character selection (although I am unfamiliar with most of them) is great, and the price of $40 is just amazing (for Wii at least).
My only complaint is the fact that there aren't multiple vehicles for the characters.

It's on its way from Gamefly to me. I've heard good things so far.

Man, with your recommendation I may have to take a look at it. I've been a big SEGA fan and noticed some great characters in the game. Like Ryo from Shenmue.
Guess I'll have to check it out!

I forgot to add that there is also a "Mission" mode... I am not sure what the missions are since I haven't tried any yet but there are a TON of them.

Me and my friend call it the Mario Kart for other consoles. Honestly, that's what it feels like.

I'll need to check this game out. I've heard that it's really good, but I don't like most of SEGA's new games.

You should try the demo out on XBL.

The fact that Alex Kidd is in the game makes me very happy

In a sense, of course. But to me it feels more like an actual racer more than Mario Kart.
Much more vibrant colors as well while Mario Kart tends to feel more soft in the visual aspect.

So, it's more of the grown up Mario Kart. :)

ONLY on the 360 version.
Anywho, I played a race online (my friends copy) and won the race. I think the other guy rage quit when I ended up in first place.

We don't talk about Nuts & Bolts :(
That said I should finish that game sometime

Not owned entirely by Sega, which is why they were dropped from that recent Sonic's Genesis Collection. The TJ&E owners are rather tight-gripped on their license.

So I downloaded the demo for 360... not even close to the fun level that the Wii brings. Graphics are quite crisp though.

Oh, you were playing this on Wii?
Man, we've been talking about buying one. Maybe after we move to WA.

The Wii has it good points. My girlfriend and I used to play EVERY DAY for hours... but now we don't do much with it any more (even though we keep buying games for it >.<)
