how to play purchased songs

hi all... sorry if this is such a newbie question, i got myself a ps3 with rock band 1 and 2. just bought several songs via psn... how do you play them? can't seem to find the songs anywhere? please point out what i'm missing. thanks a bunch

Make sure you installed the songs,but after that they should appear in the game like any normal song.They'll have a slanted arrow next to them,or you could try sorting the songs by location so it shows games on the disc and songs you downloaded.

hmmm i cant seem to find it... i havent played the whole tour... so i just wanna play it from quickplay. do i have to play the tour first? cos i bought them via psn, instead of the music store they have in the game. does that matter? thanks again

Well I would think you would be able to play it right away.I just downloaded a song from psn and it showed up like normal,and downloading from either the PSN store or the Music store isn't much different in the end since when you purchase the song from the Rock Band Music store it takes you to psn for the checkout.You might want to try re-downloading the song and see if it appears then.

Hi,

I am having the same issue. I have a track pack that was purchased from the PSN store, if i go to GAME DATA the tracks are there (But shown under Rock Band and not Rock Band2), and when i start Rock Band 2 i do not get the tracks....


I have been searching everywhere on how to activate 'downloaded tracks' but cant seem to find anything!

yeah this is messed if it cant play em. tried re-downloading them and re-installing them. wonder whats not right... any workaround for this? cos i can see the rock band installation, and the file size on the xmb matched the amount of song i purchased. any tips will be appreciated.

Well I just saw in some other threads today,that it could be a PSN issue,so whenever that gets sorted out,you might have better luck,I hope.

Hi I dont think my issue is related to PSN as i am able to logon fine to PSN and i believe the SLIM models arent having this problem.

Well it's a possibility,even though I too haven't had any problems with dlc(yet).The only issue I've had is that I'd be logged out of PSN,but the Time/Date is ok.
