I don't really know many of you guys, but this is just not cool. Someone has made a facebook group with the intent of bullying a poor girl that I know, and it's just low. So to any of you who can, can you please go and take 20 seconds and report it? It really does mean a lot.

Edit: The girl's best friend just made another group, and if you want, you can join and show her that she does have support. You don't have to, but it'd be cool.

Edit dos: Also, if you wouldn't mind joining this group, it'd be pretty cool.

As stupid as it may seem, someone is still being victimized.
Gladly reported.
Edit: I also linked the page to my news feed, so my friends should help in reporting it.

That's the case with a group, but a fan page is different. You don't need to give any personal information at all when making one. The only way to trace it is if Facebook found the maker's IP, or by the email given.

Because the guy that probably made it has been calling her and her best friend, who I'm really close to, ****s and *****es and lots of other **** all over Facebook..

And cyber bullying takes jobs away from legitmate bullies. And if a legitimate bully is out of work, who's going to push a nerds head into a toilet?

However, the most effective way of reporting something, in my experience, is emailing abuse@facebook.com. I have attempted to have similar pages removed in the past and the report link didn't seem to have any effect. Soon after I emailed them, though, the page was dead.
Just to clarify on this:
That's the case with a group, but a fan page is different. You don't need to give any personal information at all when making one. The only way to trace it is if Facebook found the maker's IP, or by the email given.
True, the public can't see who made the page. Facebook knows, though, and when this comes to their attention the creator should get a warning.

Not like its cooler (or cool for that matter) than real bullying.

There is no cyber bullying. There is only trolling and laughing at the troll when he makes himself look like an idiot.

I disagree. Regular trolling can only influance as far as the forums or sites the troll uses. Cyber Bullying can influnce the real world. A troll can't whisper things behind your back while you're at school. In a sense a cyber bully is inescapable.

I disagree completely. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there. Teachers see this kind of crap way more than I'd like.

Being cyber bullied is no fun. It exists. It's real, and I went through it. It hurts knowing that people waste their time trying to find your e-mail just so they can leave you nasty messages and hurtful words.
And then to have the same people talk about you in real life, just loud enough so you can hear. ._.

Balls has nothing to do with it.
It's a sticky situation to monitor or accuse students for wrongdoing on their own time from at home, especially when groups and emails are hidden (or the kids don't want to bring it up for fear of repercussions and this situation getting worse). Usually, a teacher isn't even privvy to this information at all unless they're very trusted; kids don't like being a snitch, and most cases of cyber-bullying I've seen had been going on for a substantial time before anyone noticed or spilled the beans.

I was being bullied in 6th grade, and my family brought it to my teacher.
the teacher thought it was a good idea to put our seats next to each other so we could "work it out."
we did not "work it out."
Within a few weeks, we both got suspended a day for fighting each other.

I always loved that. Sadly many adults have no clue how the real world works. "Talking things out" with bullies normally means he torments you harder.
I found through life standing up to them usually has the best outcome. That's not to say everything will workout for you, but if if they know everytime they try something it's going to become an issue they're less likely to waste their time.

Awesome! Nicely done folks.
I was bullied when I was in Elementary and Middle School. Finally snapped one day and my binder (packed full of materials and quite large, think the size of a college calculus book) mysteriously flew across the classroom and gave my tormentor a bloody nose...
Damn I was proud of that throw.
Strangely enough, the teacher was out of the room and none of the other students in the class saw whatever it was they were all laughing hysterically at. ;)
