Just a quick question because I need to update Windows 7 RTM before Midnight. Is it possible to install an older version of Windows (i.e. Vista) over your version if you "clean install" the software?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but if by "clean install" you mean format the drive (and the Windows 7 OS) and install Vista via a legit disc, yeah, it should work. This should be a no brainer unless we're not on the same page. The only other option that I know of is to "Upgrade" which won't work, I don't think.

Formatting means you would lose everything on your hard drive, though. So unless you have the files you want to keep backed up...

What's the deal? Did you "Upgrade" to the W7 client so you wouldn't lose your files and now your time is up and you want to revert back to Vista but want to keep your files?

He's probably in the same boat as me... I too have the Windows 7 Release Candidate. And I too will have my computer reboot itself every 2 hours..
