Just curious as to the factors involved in banning and closing threads from some modders such as myself,

but then allow several other modders and re sellers to continue to advertise their product and communicate with their customers freely as if there is any difference from one to another?

Thank you,
Blair Bryngelson

Wow and you post again and spam your URL again. Unbelievable.

I would have preferred a private message but was unable to find any way to do so.

Fair question to be asking. The diamond plate pedal guy seems to be on almost every thread I read.

BTW, I bought a set of your pads on ebay. Can't wait for them to come in.

You're selling a product that is not authorized for rock band.

Makes sense.

The mods posted here are freelance, and completely free to do on your own.

Again, my question remains:

What are the determining factors involved in banning and closing threads from some modders such as myself but allowing several other modders and re sellers to continue to advertise their product and communicate with their customers freely as if there is any difference from one to another?

Before entering a business transaction, every consumer has the ability to decide to re create what they are about to buy on their own.

There are several modders on these forums gaining exposure for thier mod or product that are being allowed to freely advertise and communicate with their clientele and Im just looking for the criteria which gets a thread banned and what is acceptable.

I just want to know what the rules are for this scenario, and know in good faith, that we are all being treated equally.

Your only reason for being on these forums, as seen my your username, is to profit off of selling these pads which you sell for much more than others on here. I would hope the mods would not treat you equally.

Well, for one thing, there are serious trust issues with your company... Whether that's sufficient for the mods to shut down threads you create/post in, I don't know. But I do wish there was a way to flag your IP or something so that everyone could recognize you as who you are... Unless your previous account got deleted, there's no reason to create "drumpads" except to conceal what was previously done with the blairbryngelson account...

Of course, I could just be being cranky. We've been playing RB straight since opening it on Christmas and I'm on a break and going through withdrawal... ;)

I'm sure other mods have their own preferences, but the general parameters include:

1. Content of posts: Are you posting just to advertise? Is your post out of topic with the thread? Is your thread's sole purpose to sell merchandise?

2. Frequence of posts: Are you posting this same information in multiple topics? Are you being repetitive? Redundant? Am I irritated to see this advertisement AGAIN? Has this post been needlessly bumped for attention?

3. User comments: Have users expressed dissatisfaction with the content of post?

Tally the number of "yes" answers to the above questions. The higher the number, the more irritated I am. The more irritated I am, the more likely I am to do something about it.

And do not worry about any perceived unfairness, I am equally irritated by all advertising. It has it's place here, but it has to be within the proper context and frame of discussion. (For example, a thread on drum modifications)

One final comment. If you have received some sort of temporary account suspention, I would suggest letting it ride out. Creating multiple accounts constitutes ban evasion which would be grounds for more severe punishment.

Any specific questions, the PM system is now on the rocker home page. (http://www.rockband.com/privatemsg/inbox)

Might aswell ask a question here actually, since I just placed an order to be delivered to Australia.

It says you get four, 7" diameter thick bright color pads and also Four 6.5" diameter thick Black pads.

Since I have two drum kits, could I get away with just putting the colour pads on one of them and the black pads on the other? I feel like it's cheating and all, but hey thought I'd ask.

Keep up the good work, and I do hope this thread doesn't get deleted :)

Because you are annoying and post your crap in like 400 threads while the others keep them in 1 single post.

Thanks Ventura,

I wouldn't necessarily recommend installing your black pads by themselves on a separate set of drums. They are just not made for that type of installation.

The color pads would certainly install perfectly by themselves with or without the black pads.
As for your second drum, I would probably recommend another set or leaving them bare??
Perhaps try the black pads on the drums and see what you think.

i dont discriminate, i hate all spammers equally and report them as i see them cuz it irritates me. ive suggested creating a marketplace subforum where all you guys will be limited to post anything about your topic and cannot post any advertising on the main forums. in that marketplace subforum you can constantly bump all you want and not bother me because your spam will not be seen unless i happen to browse in there.

either way, you in particular should just give up and move on to another forum and/or concentrate on the ebay or other online marketplace. your reputation here was damaged from day one by using deceptive sales tactics. no one will ever let you off for it.

Thanks Apples.
I don't tend to comment in these forums often but because of the backlash in regard to my initial posts, anywhere I do comment, tends to result in a very controversial, and very noticable after math, which I believe leads on that I am here posting, much more than I really am.
And no need to worry about ban evasion. I simply created an account to better represent myself in this community.

I also don't think it is a bad idea at all to create a separate forum intended for modifications.

Or a separate forum for sales.

part of your problem comes from these two points

a) unlike some of the other sellers, you actually used "Rock Band" in your website name/address which could lead to confusion as being an officially licensed RB product

b) compounding point A, your last topic title was "Official RockBandDrumPads.com discussion thread", again leading to consumer confusion as to whether you are licensed/approved by Harmonix or just a private 3rd party.

Actually i dunno about the rest of you, but im kinda tired of all the buy my crap from eBay posts. I mean i love the modders posts, where they show you how its done and what to do (even though i havent modded anything besides a couple of stickers on the guitar), But it bothers me how everyone uses these mod ideas to make a couple thousand on felt. I think totorials should stay, but when you can get like 100-400 posts with the word "ebay" in it, its getting rediculous. BUT on that note, if i had a choice to get rid of just one, it would be you. You continue to flood the forums with your product, and lie/use dirty tactics to push your product. Others are straigh forward, and never misleading. If you cant kill them all, killing one makes the world a better place.

I am very clear about being a third party distributor. I in no way am hoping to confuse or cheat any customers.

I'm actually looking for customer feedback and community involvement to enhance the product and customer satisfaction.

Just another note,
At the time of writing this response, this will only be my 13th total post.

Not sure why everyone is so upset about 13 total posts.....

Perhaps because all of them are related to selling your product?

I placed an order on 12-27-07. The ordering process says that I will receive a confirmation email with tracking information for my order. It is now 01-05-08 and I have yet to see any email. And believe me, I didn't accidentally delete it from my bulk mail folders.

Also, no response from email's directly sent to info@rockbanddrumpads.com

What's the deal with that, Blair?

Oh really now, Blair Bryngelson? Curious that a poster under the name blairbryngelson (http://www.rockband.com/forums/search.php?searchid=172338) seemed to get banned for posting spam before. Especially the first post, where you claim to be a customer at your own site. Classic.

How do you explain this post?

And to that I pose the question:

"Are the other forum members here that have been incessantly praising, thanking, and encouraging customers to buy your pads REALLY all customers?"

Doubtful. I'm sure you have all signed up under different name, different emails and posted like you were one of your MANY satisfied customers.
Your probably just not too stupid to use the same name in several places as I was.

Nonetheless, same ****, different toilet.

Stop the hate. There's plenty of demand here for good product.
Create good product, you will see success..

So funny that you did the same thing, posting under two names, including a post claiming to be a customer.

Good bye now!
