Drums not registering?

I just got the bundle set and the drums don't seem to register with the ps3. I plugged it into another USB port and it'll work, but it'll stop working when I get to a different screen. I have to unplug and plug the drums everytime a new screen pops up...then it doesn't even work when a song is playing. Is it the drum set? Or am I doing something wrong.

i'm having the same exact problem. i just bought my bundle a few hours ago and this really sucks.
