Bass Drum Malfunction, Pedal or Whole Set?

I've only had RB2 for a week! Already my bass drum is acting up. It stopped working completely. No response at all. But then, I messed with it, restarted the xbox, etc. Now, sometimes, it will "hit" a bass drum note when I RELEASE the pedal. That's right, when I lift up my foot, that's when it will "hit" the note.

I'm confused and pissed. Is this a problem with just the pedal? Or is it the "brain" of the drums, and therefore the entire set is broken?

try and take apart the sensor of the pedal. its at the front of the pedal. there should be two screws under the pedal.

sounds like one of the magnetic triggers moved.
