Hey guys - remember that Valve "FPS" that took the gaming world by storm, regardless of it's short length, Portal?
It's back.

Game Informer's April cover (http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/03/05/april-cover-revealed.aspx) reveals it's true existence, and apparently leading up to the issue itself, this hub (http://gameinformer.com/mag/portal2.aspx) Game Informer has seems to be revealing bits of information about it. It seems to take place in a forest like area, or Aperture Science after Mother Nature slowly rips it apart... or both.
And also... There's two player co-op (http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/03/05/Portal-2-For-Two.aspx).


Anyway... I'm not so sure about how the two player co-op would work (how would people tell the difference between one person's portals and the other's?), but seeing as Valve has good experience working in co-op areas, this could work.

... And there better be a Still Alive reprise and a release on the RBN.

Excited, but curious if the amount of game we'll get will seem worth sixty bucks, seeing how most people remember it as only a chunk of The Orange Box.

I remember it as more of the main reason I got The Orange Box myself. I consider all the non-Portal money an acceptable tip (as well as the worthwhile price of TF2).

Loved the first, but not too keen on the idea of co-op. I'll be playing this solo.

The co-op part is a separate thing with it's own levels and story. I will definitely be playing through every single thing this game has to offer.

It'd be cool if it had Portal:Prelude built in as an added bonus. Best mod, ever.

And the PS3 port will once again be glitch ridden because Valve is a stubborn dev and swears up and down that it's too hard to develop for.

This is a good point, GI does like to jerk our chains.I wouldn't doubt it if GI was going for the Epic Troll achievement with this one. Game Informer just seems like such a strange venue for such big gaming news, and details are scant elsewhere other than GI's outlets.

Except that Valve has officially announced the sequel and the details and everything. It's definitely not an April Fool's Joke.

Actually, to be honest I was curious as to what that would do to. I didn't expect it to actually stretch the end of the post with your postcount too.
